Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") sets out the rules for using the Clyro platform, the operator dashboard, the API, and the funnels you build, publish, and serve through Clyro (together, the "Service"). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
You are responsible for everything done under your account and within your workspaces — including the content of your funnels, the data you collect from visitors, and any email, SMS, or other messaging you send to the leads you capture. If you let others use your account or invite team members, you are responsible for their compliance with this AUP as well.
Scope
This AUP applies to all use of the Service, by you and by anyone acting under your account. That includes:
- Funnel content — every page you publish and serve through Clyro, including text, images, video, offers, claims, scripts, and any code or tracking you add.
- Data you collect — the visitor and lead information captured through your funnels, and how you store, use, and disclose it.
- Messaging you send — any email, SMS, or other communication you send to the leads and contacts you capture, whether through a connected integration or otherwise.
- The platform itself — the dashboard, the AI features, the API, and the infrastructure that hosts and serves your funnels.
Prohibited content
You may not create, publish, host, serve, link to, or distribute any of the following through the Service:
- Illegal content or activity. Anything that is illegal, or that promotes, facilitates, or instructs illegal activity, under any law that applies to you or to the visitors you reach.
- Intellectual-property infringement. Content that infringes anyone else's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right, or that uses another party's brand, name, or likeness without authorization.
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading offers and claims. False or misleading offers, fake scarcity or testimonials, deceptive pricing, or bait-and-switch tactics. Income, earnings, health, and financial claims must be truthful and substantiated — this applies with particular force to high-ticket and VSL funnels. Do not promise specific or typical results you cannot back up, and do not imply guaranteed outcomes where none exist.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and adult content involving minors. Zero tolerance. We report CSAM to the authorities and preserve evidence as required by law.
- Hateful, harassing, or violent content. Content that promotes hatred, harassment, or discrimination against people based on protected characteristics, that threatens or incites violence, or that bullies or targets individuals.
- Malware, phishing, or credential harvesting. Malicious code, links to malware, deceptive pages designed to capture passwords or financial credentials, or pages that impersonate a legitimate login or brand to steal information.
- Impersonation. Posing as another person, business, or organization, or misrepresenting your affiliation with one, in a way that is likely to deceive.
- Regulated or restricted goods and services offered without authorization. This includes — without limitation — weapons and ammunition, controlled or illegal substances, prescription products, and unlicensed financial, investment, lending, gambling, or similar services, where you lack the licenses, registrations, or authorizations the law requires for the offer and the audience.
- Sexually explicit or adult content where prohibited by law, by a connected third-party platform, or where served without legally required age-gating and consent.
Prohibited conduct
Regardless of the content involved, you may not do any of the following when using the Service:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages. Any email, SMS, or other messaging you send to leads must comply with the anti-spam and consent laws that apply to you and your recipients — including, for example, CAN-SPAM, CASL, the TCPA, and the GDPR / ePrivacy rules. You are responsible for obtaining and documenting any required consent, honoring opt-outs and unsubscribe requests promptly, and providing accurate sender identification.
- Upload data you have no right to use. Do not import or process contact lists or other data you have not lawfully collected with a proper basis — for example, purchased, rented, or scraped lists, or data obtained in breach of another party's terms or another person's rights.
- Attack or circumvent the platform. Do not attempt to breach the security of the Service, access another workspace's or customer's data, defeat access controls, or circumvent rate limits, usage limits, or billing.
- Scrape or overload the Service. Do not scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service except through the documented API within its limits, and do not place an unreasonable load on the infrastructure or interfere with its availability for others.
- Reverse engineer. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Resell or sublicense without authorization. Do not resell, sublicense, white-label, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing.
- Abuse the AI features. Do not use Clyro's AI features to generate, refine, or disguise content that violates this AUP, to attempt to bypass safety or content filters, or to produce prohibited content or deceptive claims.
- Interfere with others. Do not use the Service to harm, defraud, or interfere with other operators, their visitors, or the public, or to support any of the prohibited content above.
Data and privacy obligations
When you collect data from visitors through your funnels, you are the controller of that data and Clyro is your processor. You — not Clyro — are responsible for the lawfulness of what you collect and how you use it. At a minimum, you must:
- Have a lawful basis to collect, store, and use the visitor data you capture, and only collect what you have a basis to collect.
- Post your own privacy notice on or in connection with your funnels, telling visitors who you are, what you collect, why, and how to exercise their rights.
- Obtain any cookie or tracking consent required by the laws that apply to your visitors before setting non-essential cookies or running tracking.
- Disclose your use of tracking, analytics, and device fingerprinting where the law requires it.
- Honor your visitors' data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion, opt-out, and similar) as the controller of their data.
How Clyro handles data on your behalf, and the controller/processor split, are described in our Privacy Policy and governed by our Data Processing Addendum.
Third-party rules
When you connect or rely on a third-party service through Clyro — an advertising or ad network, a payment provider, a CRM, a messaging provider, or any other integration — you must comply with that provider's own terms, policies, and program rules in addition to this AUP. For example, ad networks impose rules on the claims and landing pages they allow, and payment providers restrict the products and offers they will process.
Their rules are between you and them. A violation of a third party's rules through your use of Clyro is also a violation of this AUP, and may lead to enforcement on our side as well as on theirs.
Enforcement
We are not obligated to monitor your funnels, your data, or your messaging, and we do not pre-screen content. We do, however, reserve the right to act. Where we become aware of a suspected or actual violation of this AUP — through a report, our own systems, or otherwise — we may, at our discretion and to the extent we consider appropriate:
- Investigate the conduct and the content involved.
- Remove, disable, or unpublish offending content or funnels.
- Throttle, rate-limit, or restrict access to features or the API.
- Suspend or terminate the offending workspace or account.
- Preserve, and report, illegal activity to law enforcement or other authorities where appropriate.
We will use reasonable judgment about the severity of a violation, but for serious violations — including illegal content, CSAM, fraud, security attacks, or conduct that puts the Service or others at risk — we may suspend or terminate immediately and without prior notice. Suspension or termination for a violation does not entitle you to a refund; see our Billing & Refund Terms. The remedies in this AUP are in addition to those in the Terms of Service, not instead of them.
Reporting abuse
If you believe a funnel or account on Clyro violates this AUP — for example, it is fraudulent, infringing, phishing, or hosts illegal content — please report it to us at team@clyro.io. Include the URL and enough detail for us to find and assess it. We review reports and take action as we consider appropriate, but we cannot promise a specific outcome or response time for every report.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
